We’re about to ring in a new year, and with only two more days left in good ole 2009, and you don’t want to miss out on the chance to win some sweet swag!
Our friends over at Klean Kanteen love winter, and know that you do too, so they’re accepting Winter Wonderland inspired photos for their December Flickr contest. All you have to do is upload your favorite wintry photos to the Klean Kanteen photo pool and you’re entered to win a killer reusable, BPA-free bottle! Be sure to get your photos in by the end of the 31st!
In need of a new wardrobe addition? Trying to make an effort to be more “mountainsexual” in the new year? You might want some Mountain Khakis. The Jackson Hole based company is trying to get 2010 fans by 2010 — if they achieve they’re goal, they’ll be giving away some free MK gear at random. Click here to take part. You don’t want to miss out, because these pants allow you to do just about anything. Here’s photographic evidence:
Gear not enough for you? How about a ski trip for two to Telluride, CO? The Adventure Life along with Wagner Custom Skis, Telluride Ski Resort, and VisitTelluride.com, is offering up a pretty kick-ass adventure of 3 days and 4 nights in Telluride, a pair of custom made skis, and if conditions are good, some heli tim! All you have to do is tell how stoked you are about skiing.
Ok, so this contest actually goes through February 2, 2010, but it’s so cool that we couldn’t help featuring it. Click here for more info.
Good Luck and Happy New Year!
There are not many issues that people can agree on. But for 20 years, a diverse coalition of commercial, sport and recreational fishing groups, outdoor industry businesses, conservation organizations, and clean energy and taxpayer advocates have joined forces to save a icon of the American West — Snake River salmon. Osprey Packs and Save Our Wild Salmon have been best friends from the very beginning. To celebrate that partnership, they’re giving away a sweet Osprey Pack and 5 pounds of wild-caught salmon!
Check out the Do It At Altitude Blog for details:
These fish are bad ass. Snake River sockeye have the most epic migration of any salmon on Earth — swimming more than 900 miles inland and climbing nearly 7,000 feet in elevation to spawn in the rugged Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. That’s right folks — these fish do it at altitude!
So, what would you do to keep Snake River salmon spawning? Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 21, give us your best answer to that question.
How to enter:
- Answer the question by leaving a comment on the Save Our Wild Salmon Facebook page or…
- Tweet your answer with the hashtag #salmondoit on Twitter!
On Dec. 21, we’ll randomly choose who will win an Osprey Pack filled with 5 pounds of wild smoked salmon! Can’t get much better than that!
